Full Description

Positive displacement and multi-jet meters are often used in similar applications but the designs and the basic measuring principles used are very different. There are two types of positive displacement meters, nutating disc and oscillating pistons. Multi-jet meters are a type of "inferrential" meter. Other types of inferrential meters are turbines, torrents and propeller meters. Descriptions of the meters, design characteristics, and selection and application criteria are given.
